1 What is the difference between rear projection TV and conventional CRT TV?

The major difference lies in the image formation.Conventional CRT TV is based on the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT). A CRT is basically a large vacuum tube in which an electron beam, emanating from a single point in the neck of the tube, scans the face of the tube very rapidly, which, in turn lights up phosphors on the tube's surface in order to create an image. On the other hand, there are three types of rear- projection TV based on their respective lighting processes 每 CRT rear projection, DLPTM rear projection, LCD rear projection, and LCOS rear projection. ONfinity Rear Projection Interactive Whiteboard adopts DLPTM rear projection technology which bears one very distinctive characteristic 每the chip on which the actual image is displayed is called a DMD (Digital Micromirror Device).As such, every pixel on a DMD chip is a reflective mirror.As the video image is displayed on the DMD chip, the micromirrors on the chip tilt very rapidly as the image changes. Then, colour is added as light passes through a high-speed colour wheel and is reflected off of the micromirrors on the DLPTM chip which in turn reflects the image onto the screen.

DLPTM is the short form of ※Digital Light Processing§, a technology for manipulating light digitally developed by Texas Instruments.The key to DLPTM is the DMD (Digital Micro-mirror Device).In essence, every pixel on a DLPTM chip is a reflective mirror, which amplifies the light generated from the chip.Since the light generated by each pixel has its own amplification ability, there is no limit to the size of the screen that can be manufactured.Brightness and contrast is even across the entire surface of the screen.

There are 3 models of ONfinity RPIWB 每 ONW53LP, ONW61LP, and ONW72LP. The figures 53, 61 and 72 indicate the screen size in inches.

9 Will the image quality be affected by long hour usage?

There won't be such effect. Because ONfinity RPIWB adopts cold light lamp which is a very durable and consistent lighting device.? The lighting efficiency won't be affected by the length of usage time. Thus there will be no effect on the picture quality.

Yes.ONfinity RPIWB has a built-in sound card supporting direct connection to a microphone.﹛

Cleaning is very easy. The screen can be cleansed with anti-static wipe, the casing can be wiped with lightly moist cloth and leave to dry. Never sprinkle or pour water onto the RPIWB as this will drain into the casing and damage the internal electronic parts.
